Assessment Structure#
Tutorial participation and contributions to online discussion: 20%.
Each tutorial is worth 2%.
Notes should be posted on the discussion board within 24 hours of the tutorial.
There will be a total of 12 tutorials, so students can miss one without affecting their mark.
The first introductory tutorial (week 1) is not marked.
Critical evaluation essay, due week 7: 30%.
An individual essay that critically evaluates a technology from an ethical perspective. 1500 words, requires 5 citations.
Research essay, due week 12: 30%.
Another individual essay that researches a particular topic on digital ethics. 1500 words, requires 10 citations.
Exam: 20%.
A short online quiz.
Tutorial Structure#
Each week we will have a set of Tasks/Activities which are the assessed component of the tutorials.
The tasks should be completed within your groups of 4, and your answers must be published to the discussion board within 24 hours of the tutorial to receive a mark.
